Sunday, the visitors in the loft and Hannah headed up to "Macy's" and more shopping. Terry and I went off to St. Vincent Ferrer on Lexington for 10 am Mass. It is truly a beautiful church and has one of my favorite windows.
ST. VINCENT FERRER
Terry headed off to the MET for his weekly visit and I headed off to Times Square to meet up with the girls. We walk to 51st and the Gershwin Theatre to see "WICKED"
WICKED
In the theatre the Moms have a glass of wine and the girls have candy. Wine is served in "Wicked" sippy cups - a nice souvenir for the girls.
"WICKED" SIPPY CUPS
After Broadway, the moms head back to the loft and the girls - guess what - they continued shopping around Times Square.
Heather gets into the kitchen and starts cooking up a storm. Verna, Jacquie and I go for a walk around Soho. Terry arrives around 7.30pm, the girls around 8 pm.
HEATHER IN THE KITCHEN
Heather cooks up some great mashed potatoes with the help of Jacquie's amazing arm muscles mashing the living daylights out of them - yum yum. Green beans on the side. The turkey, gravy and wheat berry salad arrives from Whole Foods.
We have a FANTASTIC Thanksgiving dinner.
I receive beautiful birthday gifts and cards from these amazing women that I am so proud to call my friends. There is a card from Karen. We miss Karen and Sammy and think about them tonight. We go around the table and tell each other what we are thankful for. I truly am blessed. Here are some photos of the wonderful evening.
