Terry goes off to the hospital this morning. I head out around 10 am and decide to walk instead of taking the subway. I make my way over to the Theatre District, to Foxwoods Theatre at 42nd between 7th and 8th. I get tickets for "Spider-man Turn off the Dark", the new musical about Spider-man. Apparently it is quite the spectacle. It does not start until December but there are previews in November. I got tickets for Hannah, Terry and I to go November 17th - a week before Terry and I come home.
I do a little bit of shopping, I buy an immersion blender - want to make some home made soup. I know I can leave it for Hannah. This is a very good excuse that I use whenever I can. It has been raining here in NYC and rainy days make me think of soup. I find a NYC information Centre at 7th and 53rd and pick up some maps and information for the Fab 5 when they get here. I get home and realize I have been walking for 3 hours - enough, I say.
I chat with Hannah on Facebook for a wee bit. She tells me she really likes her classes. I am hoping we can have tea one day and she can tell me all about them. I chat with Jonathan and my sister-in-law Loraine in Scotland and then her daughter Louise. I really enjoy these chats and am grateful for Facebook. Did you ever think you would hear me say that.
I watch the US Open and then hear the thunder. Needless to say the tennis is postponed. Terry does not get home until after 7 pm. We are watching the tennis as I write I really hope Rafa can win.
Talk to you tomorrow.
